The Katie Froeschle Foundation is a non-profit corporation created by Katie’s family and friends to further educational pursuits and benefit local communities. The Foundation annually awards scholarships to deserving students at Florida State University, funds innovative programs that distinguish Florida State as an exceptional institution, and provides grants to organizations that offer support and counseling to families coping with the traumatic loss of a loved one. The Foundation also plans a golf tournament every year to raise funds to support its mission. The proceeds from this event are used to finance the Foundation’s programs.
Our Mission
The mission of The Katie Froeschle Foundation is to improve educational advancement of Florida State University students and provide grants to organizations assisting families cope with traumatic loss.
The Katrina Anne “Katie” Froeschle Memorial Scholarship Fund at Florida State University was established in 2004 in Katie’s memory to provide for scholarships for students in Florida State’s Risk Management/Insurance program. Following the remarkable success of the first annual Katie Froeschle Memorial Golf Tournament in October 2006, Katie’s family and friends recognized that the good that could be accomplished in her memory could reach much further than they ever planned. The Katie Froeschle Foundation was formed in early 2007 to foster a broader mission.
